Žemaičių Naumiesčio tvenkinio maudykla is a public bathing area located on the Šustis river reservoir in Žemaičių Naumiesčio in the Šilutė district of Klaipėda County, Lithuania. The beach is approximately 100 metres long with an average water depth of 1.2 metres and a maximum depth of 3 metres. The bathing area accommodates approximately 200–250 visitors during peak season under favourable weather conditions.

Reservoir on the Šustis river (Šustis water body identification code 10050553), part of the Nemunas river basin. Average water depth 1.2 metres, maximum depth 3 metres. The water body is classified as river type 1 with very good ecological potential.

Location

Located in Žemaičių Naumiesčio seniūnija (municipality), Šilutė district, Klaipėda County, Lithuania. Monitoring coordinates: X=55.3664, Y=21.6958. A car park is available at the beach.

Facilities

Two toilets available. No showers. Facilities include rest zones, swimming zones, and sports zones. Car parking available. Pets are prohibited from the beach.

Season

Official monitoring season established according to EU Bathing Water Directive 2006/7/EB. Water characteristics are updated when quality changes from excellent to good, satisfactory, or poor.

Water Quality

Water quality classification in 2024 was good. In 2021 and 2022, water quality was excellent. In 2020, water quality was good. Monitoring is conducted according to Directive 2006/7/EB requirements. No concentrated or diffuse pollution sources have been identified within the bathing area influence zone.
