Zlatni Rat is a natural pebble beach located in Bol on the island of Brač in Croatia. The beach extends 780 metres in length with an average width of 40 metres and features a convex coastal shape. It is situated in an area outside urban development, surrounded predominantly by trees. The beach experiences high bather density during the season and has a mild coastal slope.

Adriatic Sea. Average sea temperature during season 23.54°C. Salinity ranges from 35.7 to 40 during the season. Tide amplitude 25.6 cm. Underwater coastal slope is steep (more than 25 degrees). Prevailing wind from the north.

Location

Bol, Brač. Parking available with charge. Beach is accessible via pedestrian path.

Facilities

Lifeguard service (rescuer service), sanitary facility, changing room, restaurant, café bar, playground, land sports, aqua gun activity, benches, parking area, trash cans, and auxiliary facilities. Sea side protection includes floating safety lines. Sea buoys present.

Season

Monitoring conducted annually from 2009 to 2025 with 10 samples collected each year.

Water Quality

Water quality monitored under both Croatian national regulation and EU Directive 2006/7/EC. Annual assessments conducted with 10 samples per year from 2009 to 2025. Final assessment periods include 40 samples over four-year rolling cycles. Quality classifications recorded as excellent, good, sufficient, or poor.
