Zlatni Rat is a natural pebble beach located in Bol on the island of Brač in Croatia. The beach extends 780 meters in length with an average width of 40 meters along a mild coastal slope. It features a convex coastline bordered by trees and is characterized by a steep underwater slope. The beach experiences high bather density during the swimming season, with an average sea temperature of 23.54°C.

Adriatic Sea. Beach length 780 m, width 40 m. Tide amplitude 25.6 cm. Average sea temperature during season 23.54°C. Salinity range 35.7–40 ppt. Prevailing north wind. Coastal slope mild (less than 15°), underwater slope steep (more than 25°).

Location

Bol, Brač island. Beach is accessible by pedestrian path. Paid parking available.

Monitored annually with sampling conducted year-round (10 samples per year since 2009).

Water Quality

Water quality has been monitored annually since 2009 under both Croatian national regulations and EU Directive 2006/7/EZ, with 10 samples collected per year. Final assessment periods show consistent sampling of 40 samples over four-year cycles.
