Žnjan is a partially cultivated beach in Split with a rocky surface and pebbled areas. The beach extends 700 metres in length with a width of 60 metres and features a wavelike coastal shape with moderate slopes. Low vegetation including grass and bushes borders the beach. The average sea temperature during the season is 23.75°C, with salinity ranging from 25.3 to 39.5.

Split. Accessible by asphalt road. Paid parking is available.

Facilities

Lifeguard service, sanitary facilities, showers, changing rooms, disabled access, café bar, playground, land sports facilities, water sports equipment rental (aquagun), benches, trash cans, auxiliary facilities. Floating safety lines provide sea-side protection.

Season

Annual monitoring conducted with 10 samples per year from 2009 onwards.

Water Quality

Water quality classifications available under Croatian regulation and EU Directive 2006/7/EZ, with annual assessments conducted from 2009 to 2025 (10 samples per year) and final assessments covering four-year periods. Results include excellent, good, sufficient, and poor classifications.
