Le Morge is a pebble beach located in Torino di Sangro, Abruzzo, along the Adriatic coast. The beach is approximately 20–25 metres wide in the designated bathing area. The surrounding area features natural vegetation and scattered private residences, with the State Road 16 Adriatica running nearby. The beach is subject to erosion phenomena. No current facilities or infrastructure are operational, though a traditional trabocco fishing structure is under reconstruction by the municipality.

Torino di Sangro, Chieti Province, Abruzzo region. The bathing area is located in the locality of Le Morge, with the nearest services located to the south in the Le Morge area. The beach is accessible from State Road 16 Adriatica.

Water Quality

Water classification is Excellent. No cyanobacterial blooms have been recorded in the Abruzzo waters facing this area. Sparse algal blooms occur during summer months, with occasional dinoflagellate blooms noted in past years, predominantly lacking toxic species. No particular monitoring measures or specific protocols are currently active.

Risks

Storm drainage channels and rainwater collection systems discharge directly to sea from nearby State Road 16 Adriatica. No sewerage network is present in the area. Short-duration pollution events are under study regarding appropriate modelling approaches.
