A sandy beach located 100 metres north of reference point 147 in Porto Cesareo, Lecce Province, Puglia. This is a marine coastal bathing water area within the southern boundary of the Porto Cesareo-Torre Colimena Marine Protected Area. The water has been classified as excellent based on monitoring data from 2017 to 2020.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2017–2020). No discharge of wastewater treatment plants discharging urban effluent to the sea. No river mouths or canals that could convey pollutants into the bathing area. No direct wastewater discharges to sea. No short-duration pollution events recorded in the last four years. No abnormal situations detected.

Risks

The bathing area has not been characterised by algal blooms or cyanobacterial proliferation. No cases of potentially toxic algal strains have been detected. No macroalgae or phytoplankton proliferation events reported in the last four years.
