A coastal marine bathing area located 100 metres south of reference point 147 in Porto Cesareo, Lecce province, Puglia region. The water body is part of the southern limit of the Porto Cesareo-Torre Colimena Marine Protected Area. The area has been classified as excellent quality based on water monitoring data from 2017–2020.

Porto Cesareo, Lecce province, Puglia region, Italy. The bathing area is located 100 metres south of reference point 147.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2017–2020). No discharge of urban wastewater treatment plant effluent reaches the sea. No river mouths or drainage channels conduct pollutants into the bathing area.

Risks

No short-term pollution events were recorded in the four years preceding the profile. The area is not characterised by algal blooms or cyanobacteria. No cases of potentially toxic algal proliferation have been detected.
