A sandy and gravelly beach accessible via public staircase or private road from the Ripari di Giobbe campground. The beach is approximately 30–35 metres wide and is classified as excellent quality coastal water. The area holds strategic importance within the local coastal system due to the presence of beaches with significant natural and environmental value, including Torre Mucchia and Ripari di Giobbe.

Coastal water body with moderate stability classification (B2). The monitored area extends approximately 1.85 square kilometres.

Location

Ortona, Chieti Province, Abruzzo Region, Italy. Located 100 metres north of Punta Lungo. Accessible via public staircase or private campground road. Parking available at the Ripari di Giobbe campground.

Facilities

Campground with toilet facilities. Animals of small size are permitted at the campground.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent. No specific monitoring measures or evaluations are currently in place for pollution sources. Short-duration pollution events are under study with an appropriate modelling approach being developed. Marine waters in the Abruzzo area have not presented cyanobacterial blooms.
