A sandy and pebbly beach located on the Calabrian coast near the Gennarito stream in the municipality of Corigliano Calabro. The beach has a straight coastal morphology with a seabed gradient of 2.3% from the waterline to the 5-meter isobat. The sediment composition consists of medium-grain particles. This coastal bathing area is situated in front of agricultural territories north of the Gennarito stream.

Coastal waters of the Rossano Cassano allo Ionio body. Sandy and pebbly beach with a seabed slope of 2.3% from the shore to the 5-meter depth mark. Medium-grain sediment composition ranging from 2 to 0.062 mm.

Location

Corigliano Calabro, Cosenza Province, Calabria Region. The bathing area is 100 meters on the left bank near the Torre Gennarito location at San Nicola.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Good. The sea and inland waters are not affected by algal blooms or cyanobacterial proliferation.

Risks

Short-duration pollution events occur due to surface runoff from urban and agricultural areas.
