A sandy beach located in the Lesina Lagoon, a transitional water body in Puglia, Italy. The bathing water extends from the western shore to the locality of La Punta. Transitional water body (lagoon). The Lesina Lagoon is fed by the Canale Fucicchia waterway.

Location

Lesina, Province of Foggia, Puglia region, Italy. The bathing area is situated along the western shore of Laguna di Lesina extending to La Punta. The area covers 1.144 km².

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2017–2020). Potential point source of pollution is identified as canal mouths, but no direct wastewater discharges to the sea are present. No short-term pollution events have been recorded in the last four years.

Risks
