The bathing area is located in the municipality of Lesina, province of Foggia, Puglia region. It is situated along the Laguna di Lesina, extending from La Punta to Fiume Lauro and Foce Schiapparo.

Water quality classification: Excellent (2017-2020). Potential point pollution sources are identified as canal outlets (Foci di canali). No direct wastewater discharges to the sea are present. No short-term pollution events have been recorded in the past four years.
