A sandy beach with over 99% sand content and medium grain size, located in Silvi Marina, Abruzzo. The beach has a nearly flat slope of approximately 4–5% and an average width of 70 metres. The surrounding area includes urban settlements and tourism-related structures connected to summer bathing activities. The beach is part of the Parco Marino Torre del Cerrano, a 2,550-metre stretch containing 27 beach concessions.

Water

Coastal water body (Mediterranean Sea). The water body is classified as Acque Costiere - Pianura Litoranea - Media Stabilità - C2. River mouths (Fosso Concio and Tronto/Riccio) are present.

Location

Silvi Marina, Abruzzo, Italy, in the municipality of Silvi, Province of Teramo. The bathing area extends along the coastline for approximately 7 kilometres and covers the entire Silvi Marina waterfront.

Facilities

Each beach facility in the area is equipped with first aid assistance, sanitary services, and amenities. Multiple restaurants and sports facilities with beach volleyball courts are present. Signage for bathing and navigation safety is regularly displayed. Boat rental services are available through beach concessions.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: ECCELLENTE (Excellent). Wastewater from the public sewer system is treated at a consortial treatment plant in Montesilvano (PE), managed by ACA Spa. For the Silvi Alta settlement, an activated sludge treatment plant is located in Vallescura and is regularly authorised and subject to routine monitoring. No cyanobacteria blooms have been observed in marine waters off the Abruzzo coast. Rare algal blooms occur in summer; dinoflagellate blooms with little to no toxic species have been recorded in past years. No anomalous events have occurred.
