A fine sand beach with a 3% average slope, protected by artificial rocky outcrops. The beach extends approximately 80 m between mean low water and high water. The surrounding area is densely urbanized with a railway line passing through the zone. Tidal range is 30–50 cm. A bathing establishment with refreshment point and sanitary facilities is available.

Bathing establishment with refreshment point and sanitary facilities. Animals are allowed access to the beach.

Water Quality

Classification: Category C (bathing water), Quality: E (poor). Monitoring results from 2006–2010 show conformance for COD, BOD5, and suspended solids parameters. Microbiological monitoring conducted 2008–2010 yielded conforming results. E. coli monitoring conducted at the river mouth station during the prescribed sampling period for bathing waters.

Risks

Pollution sources identified: overflow devices at three locations (right bank of Tesino River, Tesino-sea outlet, Tesino north) and sewage pump lifting station. Short-duration pollution events characterized as accidental failures and overflow. No cyanobacterial proliferation reported. No macroalgae, phytoplankton, or potentially toxic species proliferation reported.
