A free public pebble beach located 350 metres north of the Moro River near Ortona in the Abruzzo region. The beach is accessible by municipal road and faces the Adriatic railway line, which is currently being decommissioned. The bathing water is classified as excellent quality.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent. The marine waters in the Abruzzo area have not presented cyanobacterial blooms. No proliferation events of macroalgae, phytoplankton, or potentially toxic species have been recorded. Scarce blooms occur in summer; occasional dinoflagellate blooms with low or absent toxic species have been observed in previous years.

Risks

River mouth discharges are identified as a pollution source. Erosion phenomena are present on the beach.
