Few or no algae are present, and there are no blue-green algae.

Salt water sandy beach. The profile extends approximately 2 kilometres along the coast with widths varying from 25 to 35 metres. Water depth is approximately 0.5 metres at 30 metres from shore, 1 metre at 50 metres from shore, and 1.5 metres at 75 metres from shore. Water currents are weak and from variable directions, predominantly towards the north.

Bathing is generally not recommended due to the presence of a combined sewer overflow that discharges into a stream with an outlet in the sea just south of the bathing station.
