The bathing water is located 650 m north of Punta della Lotta on a sandy beach characterized by dune ridges within the Punta Aderci Natural Reserve. The beach is 60 m wide and typically hosts approximately 50 bathers per day. The water body is classified as coastal water with medium stability. The area is adjacent to the northern pier of the Port of Vasto.

Location

Vasto, Chieti Province, Abruzzo Region, Italy. The bathing point is located on the beach near Punta Penna, adjacent to the northern pier of Vasto Port.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent. No sewage discharges are present in the area. Only a septic tank connected to the information point facilities of Punta Aderci Reserve, used only during summer season and periodically emptied by authorized company. No cyanobacterial blooms have been reported in waters off the Abruzzo coast. Sparse algal blooms occur in summer months with dinoflagellate blooms occasionally detected in past years but with scarce or absent toxic species.
