Punta Aderci is a bathing area located within the Punta Aderci Natural Reserve in Vasto, Abruzzo. The sampling point is situated on a pebbly beach at the mouth of the Fosso Apricino stream. The beach has an width of 10 meters and receives approximately 20 daily bathers. The water is classified as Excellent quality.

Location

Vasto, province of Chieti, Abruzzo region. Parking is available for visitors. The sampling point is at Punta Aderci beach, at the mouth of Fosso Apricino stream.

Facilities

Waste collection service is available. A parking area is provided for visitors. Animal access to beaches during the bathing season is regulated by ordinance no. 37 of 20/05/2022.

Water Quality

Water quality classification is Excellent. No relevant pollution sources have been identified in the surrounding area. No wastewater collection or treatment network is present in the area. No cyanobacteria blooms have been observed in the marine waters adjacent to the Abruzzo coast. Occasional dinoflagellate blooms with scarce or absent toxic species have been recorded in past years, with limited summer algal blooms.
