Audeimu Beach is a sandy beach located in a relatively remote area of western Bishop Bay in Cyprus. The beach measures 360 metres in length with an average water depth of 2 metres and maximum depth of 3.5 metres. The surrounding area features shrubby vegetation with few palm trees, and there is a dining and recreation area in the eastern section of the beach. Water quality has been classified as excellent based on monitoring data since Cyprus's EU accession in 2004.

Location

Audeimu Community, Limassol District, Cyprus. Access is via a small rural road. The beach is located within a British military base area.

Facilities

Lifeguard and lifesaving equipment present. Waste collection bins maintained by Audeimu Community Council. Public toilet facilities provided through the dining area. No other public facilities.

Water Quality

Water quality classified as excellent based on monitoring data since 2004. One isolated pollution incident was recorded during the 2005 swimming season. No short-term pollution incidents were recorded during the 2008-2010 swimming periods. Low risk of eutrophication from macroalgae and phytoplankton.

Risks

Low risk of short-term pollution events. Possible sources include malfunction of sewage systems at coastal buildings and passing vessels. Short-term pollution events estimated to occur once per swimming season with duration of 1-2 days.
