Badesee Bensheim is a former gravel extraction lake located in southern Hesse at the edge of the Odenwald forest, in the Upper Rhine Plain. The lake has greenish-clear water and steep banks near the bathing area, making it suitable only for swimmers. It covers 7.7 hectares with a maximum depth of 17 metres and average depth of 10.6 metres. The lake is equipped with an aeration system to maintain water quality. Diving and fishing are permitted for club members.
