Badesee Greetsiel is a freshwater lake approximately 8 hectares in size located in the northwest of Greetsiel. It was created naturally as part of the Leybucht Project, a comprehensive dike construction and drainage program completed in 2000 by Lower Saxony. The lake has a maximum depth of approximately 2.5 metres and is classified as excellent quality according to EU standards.
