Badesee Schortens is a natural inland lake located near the A29 motorway junction, the district town of Jever, and the North Sea coast. The lake measures approximately 200 by 60 metres and reaches a maximum depth of 10 metres. It has no inflows or outflows and serves exclusively as a bathing lake. The water surface is surrounded by a natural shoreline featuring reeds, meadow, and sand. Microbiological water quality has consistently been excellent.
