Water

Lake in the Neris river subbasin (part of the Nemuno river basin). Average water depth is 1.30 meters with a maximum depth of 2.00 meters. Beach length is 100 meters. The lake shore has a natural structure covered with sand and meadow vegetation.

Location

Vilnius city municipality in the Vilniaus district of Lithuania. The bathing water coordinates are X=54.7923, Y=25.4318.

Facilities

Two stationary piers, 4 changing cabins, bicycle parking, grills, picnic tables including tables adapted for disabled persons, small library, outdoor fitness equipment, information signs showing beach layout, rescue point with first aid supplies. Three bio-toilets available. No showers. Beach is adapted for disabled persons. Dogs are prohibited.

Water Quality

Water quality from 2020 to 2024 met excellent quality requirements according to Directive 2006/7/EC. The bathing water has been monitored since 2008. No systematic pollution sources are present, though momentary water contamination is possible due to irresponsible human behavior. No blue-green algae proliferation has been observed.

Risks

Short-term pollution possible during heavy rainfall, which typically subsides within 1-2 days after rain ends.
