Plage de Broënnou is a bathing beach located in the municipality of Landéda in Finistère, Brittany. The beach comprises both southern and northern sections with access ramps. It is situated in the Broënnou Cove estuary environment, characterized by tidal conditions and seasonal ecological features.

Location

Landéda, Finistère (29), Brittany. Coordinates: 48.596594, -4.570473. Parking areas are available near the beach with access ramps at both the southern and northern sections.

Access ramps at south and north sections. Waste bins provided for users. Parking areas available.

Water Quality

Water quality monitoring conducted by ARS (Regional Health Authority). The beach is sensitive to green algae blooms (ulves) during summer periods. Bacteriological quality affected by rainfall events and fecal contamination sources from agricultural runoff and wastewater systems.

Risks

Seasonal green algae (ulves) blooms. Presence of jellyfish and Portuguese man o'wars (physalies) washed ashore. Bacterial contamination risks linked to rainfall events, agricultural pollution from manure and slurry spreading, livestock watering, and stormwater runoff. Sewage system discharges and non-collective sanitation installations present pollution risks.
