Season

Water Quality

Water quality is classified according to Directive 2006/7/CE using two bacteriological parameters: intestinal enterococci and Escherichia coli. The 95th and 90th percentile values are tracked. Monitoring results from 2014 to 2022 show evolution in contamination episodes. The beach has been subject to historical classification assessments.

Risks

Identified pollution sources include camping-car parking areas and domestic wastewater discharge. Contamination episodes are influenced by rainfall, seasonality, tidal coefficients, and wind conditions. Shower infrastructure defects have been observed.
