Water Quality

Bathing water classification: Excellent (2008–2011). No coastal wastewater treatment plants, pipelines, or Imhoff tanks are present. No particular measures or specific monitoring are currently activated.

Risks

River mouths identified as potential pollution sources. No cyanobacterial blooms occur due to the predominantly oligotrophic conditions of the Ligurian Sea. No cases of toxic algal strain proliferation have been recorded in the past four years.
