Sandy urban beach located in the village of Santa Cruz with white sands bounded by an artificial cliff to the east. Beach support facilities and services are situated at the base of the cliff. Torres Vedras has held the QualityCoast award since 2009.

Water Quality

Water quality classification 2020 under Decreto-Lei 135/09 (June 3rd) as amended by Decreto-Lei 113/2012 (May 23rd). No history of short-term pollution events. No significant microbiological pollution sources identified in the area of influence.

Risks

Cyanobacteria, macroalgae, and phytoplankton proliferation potential is unlikely. No alert system is implemented.
