Sandy urban bathing water with rocky formations located in the village of Santa Cruz. The bathing area includes Santa Helena and Guincho beaches. It holds Blue Flag status and Accessible Beach certification. Torres Vedras has maintained QualityCoast accreditation since 2009.

Water quality classification 2020 (Decreto-Lei 135/09, as amended by Decreto-Lei 113/2012). No significant microbiological pollution sources identified in the area. Sampling frequency is triweekly. Zero days of bathing prohibition or advisories due to short-term pollution events in bathing season 2020.

Risks

Although rare, short-term pollution events not fully identified may occur. Cyanobacteria, macroalgae, and phytoplankton proliferation are considered unlikely.
