Plage de la Libération is one of the small-sized beaches of the downtown corniche in Concarneau with moderate attendance. It is part of a group of five beaches in the city center (Cornouaille, Mine, Dames, Libération, and Rodel-La Croix). This area is predominantly served by combined sewer systems, which may affect bacterial water quality through storm overflows from the Miné and Pénéroff channels. Green algae strandings are possible on these beaches depending on the year, tides, and wind direction.
