Plage des Dames is one of five small beaches located on the corniche of Concarneau's city centre. It is situated among other beaches including Cornouaille, Miné, Libération, and Rodel-La Croix. The beach experiences medium visitor frequency during the bathing season. Water quality can be influenced by storm overflows from Miné and Pénéroff due to the predominantly combined sewer system in this area. Green algae accumulations are possible on these beaches depending on the year, tides, and wind direction.

Water Quality

Water quality classification assessed according to the 1976 Directive and progressively transitioning to the 2006 Directive standards. Bacteriological quality may be influenced by storm overflows from the Miné and Pénéroff systems. The Miné overflow is being improved with a 425 cubic metre buffer basin under construction.
