Located in the municipality of Duino-Aurisina, province of Trieste, Friuli Venezia Giulia region. Coordinates: 45.769959°N, 13.627798°E. The bathing area extends approximately 0.506 km.

Water Quality

Classification: Excellent (2015–2018). Escherichia Coli 90th percentile: 27 CFU/100 ml, 95th percentile: 33 CFU/100 ml. Intestinal Enterococci 90th percentile: 14 CFU/100 ml, 95th percentile: 21 CFU/100 ml. No variations in water quality were observed during bathing seasons 2015–2018. No sustained eutrophic phenomena related to cyanobacteria have been reported. No proliferation of potentially toxic algal species has been detected.

Risks

Short-duration pollution events may occur under particular weather conditions, including intense rainfall and increased karst groundwater discharge, which can transport contaminants from urban runoff into the bay. No pollution events were recorded during 2015–2018. No cyanobacterial bloom events or toxic algal species have been identified.
