Due Sorelle is a beach in Sirolo, Marche region, featuring limestone gravel with a 3% gradient on the emerged beach and 10% on the submerged section. The beach is protected by natural rocky barriers and bordered by Mediterranean scrubland. It extends 2000 meters in length with an average width of 15 meters.

Coastal water body (Ancona_Numana). Distance between mean low water and high water (safe water limit) is 2 meters. Astronomical tide range: 30–50 centimeters.

Location

Sirolo, Ancona province, Marche region. Accessible only by sea shuttle service from Numana, Sirolo, and Portonovo. No animals permitted on the beach.

Water Quality

Classification E. Wastewater treatment via biological activated sludge plant located in Castelfidardo, serving approximately 22,150 inhabitants equivalent from urban settlements and 6,550 from productive activities, with floating population of approximately 25,300 during summer months. Monthly ARPAM monitoring in 2010 confirmed compliance with authorized discharge limits. E. coli measurements in 2010 ranged from 10 to 110 UFC/100ml. Overflow discharge occurs to the beach in Numana and the Musone River during intense rainfall events.
