Foce Rio Lasca is a coastal bathing water located in Finale Ligure, Liguria. The area features a rocky western section with reefs and a pebbly beach toward the east. The bathing area is situated in a hilly zone that descends toward the sea at the mouth of the Rio Lasca river. The water body has been classified as excellent quality during the 2008-2011 monitoring period.

Water Quality

Classification: Excellent (2008-2011). The Ligurian Sea is characterized by oligotrophic conditions that prevent cyanobacterial blooms. No cases of potentially toxic algal strains have been recorded in the past four years.

Risks

Main pollution source identified: river mouth (foce fluviale). No wastewater treatment plants, sewage pipes, or Imhoff tanks are present in the coastal area. A modelling approach for characterizing short-duration pollution events and anomalous situations is under development.
