Foce sorgente Cal is a bathing water located in a small natural inlet on the northern shore of Lake Garda, near the outflow of the Cal spring source. The beach faces west and is situated in the municipality of Malcesine in the Veneto region. The bathing water has been classified as excellent from 2021 to 2024.

Lake Garda. The bathing area extends over 1.389 km. The beach width is between 5 to 10 meters.

Location

Water Quality

Water quality classification: excellent (2021–2024). EI95° 7.287; EI90° 5.276; EC95° 15.119; EC90° 9.557. Identified pollution sources include combined municipal sewerage system with emergency overflows, consortium collector pipes, stormwater discharge conduits, the Cal spring source outflow, and the Peschiera del Garda treatment plant which discharges into the Mincio River in Lombardy.

Risks

River mouths and Valle Curbalero (Cal spring source) are identified as causes of pollution impacting the bathing water.
