Foce Sorgente Orgada

Italy Lake 1 - Excellent

The Foce sorgente Orgada is a bathing area located in a small natural inlet on Lake Garda near Malcesine in the Veneto region. The beach is oriented westward and situated at the northern exit of Malcesine near the mouth of the Orgada spring source. The beach width ranges from 5 to 10 meters. The bathing water has been classified as excellent for the period 2021–2024.

Location

Water Quality

Classified as excellent (2021–2024). EI95° 8.831; EI90° 6.097; EC95° 3.034; EC90° 2.529. Identified pollution sources include river mouths and the Orgada spring source. Mixed municipal wastewater conveyance system with emergency overflow structures is present, along with a consortial collector and meteorological water discharge pipes.

Risks

Identified pollution sources include the Orgada spring source and river mouths. A municipal mixed wastewater system with emergency overflows and the Peschiera del Garda treatment plant (which discharges into the Mincio River in Lombardy) are located in the area.
