Water quality classification: Excellent. The bathing water is monitored by Calabria Region, the municipality, ASP, 118, and Arpacal. No specific active pollution control measures are currently in place.

Risks

Potential short-duration pollution events from runoff from agricultural areas and urban areas have been identified at the mouth of Fosso Nubrica. No cyanobacterial or algal blooms have occurred in the past four years.
