Glörtalsperre is an artificial reservoir designated as a bathing water since at least 1992. It has maintained excellent bathing water quality for more than two decades, supported by comprehensive monitoring. The reservoir is situated in a scenic landscape surrounded by forests and sparsely populated areas, with two main tributary streams providing necessary water exchange and good water quality.
