Water Quality

Bathing water quality is classified as excellent for all four years from 2019 to 2022. The water body is oligotrophic with no relevant pollution sources identified. No significant microbiological or chemical contamination in sediments has been detected. Hasteich systems, rainwater from separate sewer systems, untreated rainwater discharges, rainwater treatment plants, agricultural drainage water, agricultural runoff, and fish farm discharge outlets contribute only very low or low relevance to water quality. Campgrounds and pasture land have low relevance. Urban and industrial areas contribute very low relevance.

Risks

Cyanobacteria blooms were observed in 2013 and 2014. The risk of future mass development of cyanobacteria is assessed as medium. Fishing and angling activities have identified relevance to water quality. Water sports including sailing and motorboats have very low relevance.
