Grado - La Fosa Ovest is a sandy beach bathing area located in a coastal lagoon zone in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region of Italy. The water body is classified as excellent based on monitoring data from 2015–2018. No sustained eutrophic phenomena or toxic algal blooms have been recorded at this site. The bathing area extends approximately 2.161 km along the Marano and Grado lagoon tributaries.

Location

Grado, in the Province of Gorizia, Friuli Venezia Giulia region, Italy. Coordinates: 45.679789°N, 13.359064°E. The bathing area extends from 45.679643°N, 13.347006°E to 45.681586°N, 13.368325°E.

Water Quality

Classification: EXCELLENT (reference years 2015–2018 under D.Lgs 116/08). E. coli (90th percentile): 12 CFU/100 ml; E. coli (95th percentile): 13 CFU/100 ml. Intestinal Enterococci (90th percentile): 14 CFU/100 ml; Intestinal Enterococci (95th percentile): 22 CFU/100 ml. No variations in water quality status were observed during bathing seasons 2015–2018.
