Grado - Isola di Morgo Est is a sandy beach bathing area located in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region of northeastern Italy. The beach is situated on a coastal barrier in a lagoon area, specifically along the tributaries of the Marano and Grado lagoons. The bathing water has been classified as excellent based on monitoring data from 2015–2018, with no significant variations in water quality observed during those bathing seasons.

Coastal marine water. The area is a coastal barrier (cordone litorale) in a lagoon setting, part of the Marano and Grado lagoons system. The bathing area covers 1.339 km².

Location

Grado, Province of Gorizia, Friuli Venezia Giulia region. Coordinates: 45.688742°N, 13.316602°E. The bathing area extends approximately 1.339 km along the shore.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2015–2018 reference period, Decreto Legislativo 116/08). Escherichia coli: 90th percentile 25 CFU/100 ml, 95th percentile 30 CFU/100 ml. Enterococci: 90th percentile 14 CFU/100 ml, 95th percentile 22 CFU/100 ml. No water quality variations were evident during the 2015–2018 bathing seasons. No pollution events occurred in the four-year period 2015–2018.

Risks

No cyanobacterial eutrophication phenomena have ever been reported. No toxic algal blooms or elevated concentrations of potentially toxic species have been detected.
