Grundlsee Süd

Grundlsee Süd is a bathing area on the southern shore of Grundlsee, a typical Alpine lake in the Styrian Salzkammergut region. The lake is the largest in Styria with an area of approximately 4 km² and is located about 4 km east of Bad Aussee at the foot of the Totes Gebirge mountains.

Alpine lake (Grundlsee) with an area of approximately 4 km², length of approximately 5.7 km, and width of approximately 0.9 km. The lake is fed primarily by the Toplitzbach stream entering from the eastern shore. Mean water depth: 39 m. Maximum water depth: 76 m. Available shoreline for bathing: 500 m.

Location

The bathing water is situated on the southern shore of Grundlsee, approximately 800 m east of the lake's outlet, in the Salzkammergut region near Bad Aussee in Styria, Austria.

Facilities

Showers and toilets available. Dogs and other pets are prohibited. Maximum daily number of bathers in peak season: 250.
