Location

Pizzolungo is located in the municipality of Erice, province of Trapani, Sicily, along the SS 187 road at the border between Erice and Valderice communes.

Water quality classification: Excellent. The area is included in ARPA Trapani's monitoring points.

Risks

Animal access is prohibited. Potential macroalgae and phytoplankton proliferation has occurred in previous years, with some events documented within the last four years.
