Margherita di Savoia, in the province of Barletta-Andria-Trani, Apulia region, Italy. The water body is part of the Margherita di Savoia-Barletta hydrographic system.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2017–2020). The primary potential point source of pollution is a wastewater treatment plant in Margherita di Savoia with an underwater outfall discharging treated municipal and industrial wastewater. No short-duration pollution events were recorded over the last four years.

Risks

No algal blooms or cyanobacteria proliferation recorded. No toxic algal species detected. No anomalous situations recorded.
