Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2020–2023). The bathing water is weakly influenced by the Regi Lagni channel, which receives wastewater from three regional treatment plants located in Marcianise, Orta di Atella, and Villa Literno, as well as untreated urban wastewater from several municipalities.

Risks

The Regi Lagni channel is a pollution source, receiving treated and untreated wastewater from multiple municipalities and overflow discharge from sewage networks.
