Kirkebugt west of Østerby Harbour is a sandy beach with stones spanning approximately 550 metres. The beach width varies from about 5 to 30 metres, with water depth reaching approximately 0.5 metres at 5 metres distance and 1.5 metres at 20 metres distance. The water is clear with visibility exceeding 1 metre, contains very few or no algae, and has no cyanobacteria. Water currents are weak to strong from variable directions, predominantly from the west.
