The bathing water zone H02 is located at the sports center pond in Saint-Léger, in the Walloon region of Belgium. The pond was officially designated as a bathing zone on 25 October 1990 and sits at an altitude of 255 metres. It is situated within the Semois-Chiers sub-basin, part of the International Meuse River District. The bathing area is managed by the municipality of Saint-Léger.

Water

Pond (étang). Surface area: 88.25 ares. Minimum depth: 0.50 metres. Maximum depth: 1.80 metres. Beach length: 47 metres. The bottom is relatively homogeneous, composed of concrete and silt. Artificial berges at the beach level; natural and herbaceous berges around the pond.

Saint-Léger, Luxembourg province, Belgium. The bathing zone is located at the sports center pond (étang du centre sportif). Lambert coordinates: X 242764, Y 33506. The zone is approximately 5.06 kilometres from the source of the watercourse.

Water Quality

Water quality is monitored according to bacteriological parameters. An information panel has been in place since 2008 to inform swimmers of bathing authorization or prohibition status. A small window on the panel displays bacteriological water quality information.
