Coastal water body. The beach has an average seabed slope from the waterline to the 5-metre isobath of 1%. The bathing area extends over 0.994 square kilometres.

Location

Rocca Imperiale, Calabria, Italy. The bathing area is located in the municipality of Rocca Imperiale, in the province of Cosenza, between the mouth of Canale Armi and the town centre.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent. The sea and internal waters are not affected by algal blooms or cyanobacterial proliferation in the past four years.

Risks

Short-term pollution events from agricultural runoff have been identified as sources of pollution. The mouth of Canale Armi and the mouth of Fosso Cutura I are identified as causes of pollution impacting the bathing water.
