Torrente Canna is a coastal bathing water located in Rocca Imperiale, Calabria. The beach is pebbly with a geomorphological descriptor of delta coast. Location

Rocca Imperiale, Calabria, in the Province of Cosenza. The area is situated in front of the inhabited centre of Rocca Imperiale and agricultural territories between Vallone A I il F C I.

Water Quality

Water quality classified as good. Potential pollution sources include the Rocca Imperiale wastewater treatment plant (biological activated sludge system) and accidental sewage treatment plant failure or overflow from the mouth of Torrente Canna.

Risks

Short-duration pollution events possible from accidental treatment plant failure or overflow at the Rocca Imperiale depurator. No cyanobacterial or algal blooms recorded in the last four years.
