Coastal marine water body. Area of 0.564 km². Part of the Bisceglie-Molfetta water body. Lama Marcinese hydrographic basin.

Location

Bisceglie, Barletta-Andria-Trani province, Apulia region, Italy. Located 100 metres south of Pantano locality.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2017-2020). No direct wastewater discharges to sea are present. No short-term pollution events have been recorded in the last four years. No toxic algal or cyanobacterial blooms have been detected.

Risks

Lama river mouth identified as a potential pollution source. Agricultural activities in the surrounding area could represent potential sources of diffuse pollution conveyed by surface runoff. No anomalous situations have occurred.
