Molhe Leste is a long sandy beach surrounded by dunes located in Peniche. The beach offers good conditions for surfing and bodyboarding. It provides opportunities for contemplating the sea and nature.

Water Quality

Water quality classification from 2020. Sampling frequency is triweekly. Short-term pollution events may occur due to increased river discharge from Rio de S. Domingos after rainfall, typically lasting 1-2 days. No days of bathing prohibition due to short-term pollution occurred in the 2020 bathing season.

Risks

Fecal contamination may originate from Rio de S. Domingos during periods of intense rainfall. Cyanobacteria, macroalgae, and phytoplankton proliferation are all unlikely. Warning signs will be posted if beach users are considered at risk.
