Monte Branco is a bathing water located in the Ria de Aveiro, a coastal lagoon of low depth with extensive areas between tides. The area has Mediterranean climate characteristics with frequent fog formation in the coastal strip during summer months. Muddy bottoms occur at low tide, and jellyfish are present.
